Stuttgart, 23 June 2020. Together with numerous other players from the event industry, the Stuttgart-based concert and event specialists SKS Michael Russ GmbH, Gierss Veranstaltungstechnik GmbH, mad music Veranstaltungstechnik GmbH, Music Circus Concertb\u00fcro GmbH & Co. KG and follow red GmbH set a shining example in the night from 22 to 23 June and thus followed the call of the “Initiative for the Event Industry” and the LK-AG Essen: As a symbol of the “red alert” and the plight of the industry, countless buildings and structures throughout Germany were wrapped in red light from 10 p.m. onwards. The reason for this is the precarious economic situation in which companies from the event industry have found themselves since the Corona crisis. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Corona crisis has hit the entire event industry hard. Event agencies, but also stand builders, event technicians or location operators have lost an important part of their orders due to the ban on events since 10.03.2020 and are fighting for their existence in some cases. With the “Night of Light” campaign, the event industry now sent out a symbolic call for help to draw attention to the endangered industry. In several hundred cities, event locations, buildings and structures were illuminated with red light in the night from 22.06 to 23.06.2020. Market participants from all areas of the event industry took part in the campaign. The “Night of Light” was accompanied by a live stream in which prominent players from the event industry discussed the situation and future of the event industry. As event and concert specialists, the partners SKS Michael Russ, Gierss, mad music, Music Circus and follow red have been active in the industry for many years and create live experiences with passion. “With our participation in the “Night of Light” campaign, we want to support the industry and draw attention to the plight of the event industry,” says Sebastian Wiese<\/strong>, managing partner at follow red and responsible for the event sector. Paul Woog<\/strong>, Managing Director of SKS Michael Russ GmbH, adds: “The event industry contributes to a diverse cultural and business life and brings people together – so that this is possible again after the Corona crisis, we now need joint solutions and ways out of the crisis.” <\/p>\n
