Stuttgart, 09 June 2020: Summer, sun, festival time! And this year it will be completely different, because major events with many guests and close contact will not be possible for quite a while. The event agency follow red GmbH, with 30 years of live experience from Stuttgart, is making a virtue out of necessity and, together with SKS Michael Russ GmbH, is bringing car concerts to the southwest. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Under the motto “Live Summer 2020”, the event specialists from follow red and their partners will be converting the derelict parking lots at Stuttgart Airport into a festival site for four weeks from 13 June 2020. For 650 cars per gig, because major events with close visitor contact are not possible in the foreseeable future. The program includes rock and pop, hip-hop and electro, comedy and poetry. Michael Patrick Kelly will kick things off, and Felix Jaehn, Robin Schulz, voXXclub, Eure M\u00fctter and many more have also confirmed their participation. The team is working on other top acts, and the lineup is constantly updated. This means that concert fans throughout southern Germany will once again have the opportunity to experience live music on a large scale. At the same time, all those who are facing professional and financial nothingness due to the ban on events are supported: artists and technicians, but also service providers and many others who work in the concert sector. <\/p>\n

“The past few months have hit the event industry hard,” says Sebastian Wiese<\/strong>, Managing Partner of follow red and responsible for the event sector, explaining the situation. “Not only artists, concert organizers and locations, but also agencies like follow red, which develop creative ideas for events and then implement them.” So they started looking for alternatives in a very pragmatic and flexible way and together came up with the idea of organizing car concerts for the south. “In this way, we kill two birds with one stone: On the one hand, we use the event expertise of our event managers sensibly, and on the other hand, we make a cultural contribution to the region and offer both artists and people a little variety,” says Wiese<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

As a co-organizer in the project, follow red is mainly responsible for winning sponsors in the run-up to the event and organizing the catering for the up to 650 vehicles on site. SKS Michael Russ GmbH covers the topics of artists, stage, production and safety\/hygiene. Wiese assures: “The most important thing at Live Summer 2020 is of course the safety and health of visitors, artists and employees. Therefore, we will pay meticulous attention to compliance with all safety and hygiene regulations, which we have developed in close cooperation with the responsible authorities.” <\/p>\n

Sebastian Wiese would like to thank Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH and the city of Leinfelden-Echterdingen for their support for the live summer 2020 as well as Hitradio Antenne 1, which has accepted the role of presenter as media partner.<\/p>\n
