Stuttgart, 07.02.2022. follow red has been nominated for the nationwide “Grand Prix of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses” 2022. The award under this year’s motto “To New Horizons” honors medium-sized companies for their outstanding performance and above-average development. On September 17, 2022, the big award ceremony for the finalists and award winners for Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse and Thuringia will take place.
Especially in times of the Corona crisis, the importance of a healthy SME sector for a strong economy becomes particularly clear. For this reason, the Oskar Patzelt Foundation has been awarding the “Grand Prix of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” annually since 1995 to medium-sized companies that operate with strong values, a clear strategy and a high degree of flexibility and are full of innovative and investment power despite setbacks. This is also what this year’s motto “To New Horizons” stands for. In keeping with the agency’s 35th anniversary, follow red has been nominated for the “Grand Prix of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” 2022 together with 2,125 other companies and has thus reached the first stage of the competition. The special feature: The agency did not apply itself, but was proposed and qualified by the Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW).
For this important business award, medium-sized companies are sought that can demonstrate above-average development and outstanding performance. Five competition criteria are evaluated: overall development of the company, creation and safeguarding of jobs and apprenticeships, modernization and innovation, commitment to the region, service and customer proximity, and marketing. Depending on the competition region, the jurors of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation select up to three prize winners and up to five finalists. The competition is accompanied in the 16 federal states by minister-presidents and ministers of economics as patrons. On September 17, 2022, the big award gala of this year’s award winners and finalists for Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse and Thuringia will take place, which will not be publicly announced until this evening.
