Stuttgart, August 24, 2021. Since last year, the communications experts at follow red have been supporting the sailing tourism company Sailing-Classics, which focuses on authentic sailing combined with comfort and service. The collaboration focuses on brand communication and brand design to enable targeted investor communication and outreach regarding the construction of the world’s first commercial “zero-emission” sailing yacht, AEOLUS.
The sailing tourism company Sailing-Classics offers personalized vacation trips for individual travelers and as cabin charters aboard its three sailing yachts: KARIOS, CHRONOS, and RHEA. The yachts already cover up to 70 percent of their routes in the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, and the Caribbean entirely under sail, making them a more sustainable alternative to cruise ships. Founder and majority shareholder Andreas Steidle-Sailer’s vision of a sustainable and personalized sailing vacation is now set to be advanced through another project: the construction of the world’s first commercial “zero-emission” sailing yacht, the AEOLUS. The communications experts at follow red have been supporting the company since 2020 with strategic consulting, analysis, and creative input for targeted investor communication and outreach regarding the construction of this fourth vessel. This includes, for example, the creation of a pitch deck, an investor video, and the development of content for the newly created website dedicated to the new sailing yacht. “We are delighted to accompany Sailing-Classics on its journey toward a more sustainable, personalized sailing experience and to support them with our expertise in brand communication, particularly when it comes to the investor target audience,” explains Jonathan Geyer, Head of Strategy at follow red.
In addition to the AEOLUS project, follow red is supporting the sailing tourism company with other communication initiatives, such as the creation and revision of all communication materials—for example, the current travel catalog—and the relaunch of the existing corporate design to ensure a cohesive overall brand image. Efforts to engage investors are also continuing, with the goal of making voyages on the new sailing yacht even more sustainable. The project’s holistic sustainability strategy ranges from waste and plastic reduction, seawater desalination, and wastewater treatment to the use of biodegradable detergents and products.
