Continental Automotive – 100 Years of the VDO Tachograph
For Continental Automotive, follow red developed an awareness campaign in 2023 around the new intelligent tachograph of the second version DTCO 4.1 and the 100th anniversary of the VDO tachograph. The campaign supported the sale of the new tachograph flagship and made VDO’s history of innovation visible across multiple touchpoints.

2023 was a special year for Continental Automotive: The new intelligent tachograph of the second version, DTCO 4.1, became mandatory for newly registered commercial vehicles, and at the same time the VDO tachograph celebrated its 100th anniversary.
Follow red developed a campaign idea that brought together the past and future of the tachograph. The key visual took up the round shape of the traditional tachograph disc and translated it into a modern appearance.
The campaign kicked off at transport logistic in Munich. Follow red developed the trade fair storyline and designed the trade fair stand as a visible entry into the campaign.
In addition, a bilingual anniversary booklet with 40 pages was created, which presented the history of the site, technology development and legal framework conditions in a high-quality manner. Press releases, media relations at the Villingen location, trade fair and social media communication rounded off the campaign.
